An analysis of the DPS of scythe warriors, scythe sins, and dervishes that I did a little while back:

Warriors and Assassins are significantly better with the scythe in PvE than the dervish. So is the Ritualist (though I've never bothered to calculate how much so, due to the fact that their inferior armor prevents them from truly taking over the dervish's role). Rangers and Paragons are better scythe users than the dervish unless the dervish takes zealous vow (then he's slightly better, but you have to get creative to make a zealous vow dervish that isn't completely redundant with respect to assassins and warriors).
